Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born into a musical family on August 9th, 1963. She was born in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singing star Dionne Warwick. At the age of a small girl, Houston started singing professionally with the choir of her church. She sang backing vocals for Chaka Khosn's single from 1978 Im Every Woman with her mother. Then she went on to perform backing vocals for Lou Rawls and Jermaine as well as her mom. Her first gig was as a vocalist in the band Material. the funk group from New York, Material as well. That same year she married ex-New Edition singer Bobby Brown with whom she was the sole parent of their child Bobbi Kristina Brown in March 1993. Dana Bash, also known by the name Dana Ruth Schwartz, is an American anchorwoman and journalist. She serves as a political correspondent at CNN.
