Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a singer who was born in Newark, New Jersey on the 9th August 1963. Their parents include gospel singers Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne Warwick sings as well. In Newark, Whitney began singing with the choir of the church when she was a young child. When she was 15 years old, she joined her mother in backing vocals in Chaka's smash Im Every Woman from 1978. Her mother, Jermaine, and Lou Rawls were some of the performers she performed with. She was also briefly modeling for Seventeen Magazine in 1981. Her first gig was as a featured vocalist for the band from New York called Material and it was the excellence of her singing together that brought the attention of major record labels, including Arista with whom she signed in 1983, and with whom she was for the rest of her career. Whitney Houston, her debut album, released in 1985 was the top-selling album of a debut singer. The album All My Love was released in 1985, and quickly became a number one hit. The album's debut US year, the album was has sold in excess of 3 million units. It went on to be bought by over 25 million people worldwide and earned her her first Grammy. Its Whitney 1987 release, which included Where Do Broken Hearts and I Wanna Dance With Somebody as popular songs, was a way to build on her success. The 1992 film The Bodyguard sealed her spot in the top 20 most-sellers ever. The Bodyguard's performance as a film and soundtrack was not appreciated, her Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You and the accompanying album topped charts around the globe for several months. That same year she was married to Bobby Brown who was a former New Edition singer. She had their sole daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown in the month of March, 1993. In the same year her use of drugs became well documented and she started using it daily in 1996.

Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN political reporter and anchorwoman. The anchorwoman produced a number of shows on weekends on the network, including Evans & Novak: Late Edition" as well as Inside Politics." She was previously employed by NBC and CBS.
